3 steps

How financing actually works.

Our process is built around one principle: tell you the truth about your terms before you commit. No bait, no rate creep, no hidden fees.

1

Apply (5 minutes)

Submit your application — name, basic income, the procedure you're considering. We do a soft credit pull, which doesn't affect your score. Most decisions return within hours.

2

See real terms

You see your actual approved amount, monthly payment, APR, and term length — before you commit to anything. If the terms don't work for you, no obligation, no hard pull, no harm.

3

Lock in & book

Accept the terms and we lock in your surgery date. Many patients pay $0 down and start surgery within 2–4 weeks. Your monthly payment begins after you're back home.

Two paths

In-house, or our trusted partners.

We hold our own loans for many patients — which means we set the terms, we approve them, and we never sell your debt to third parties. For larger balances, we partner with established medical lenders.

On Ozempic or Zepbound? The shot is forever. Surgery is once.

They work — and they only work while you keep paying. Put what you actually pay per month next to a sleeve or bypass over 1–15 years and see the month the shot passes the price of surgery, what you've already spent, and what the trials say happens to the weight when you stop.

The questions you actually have

What patients ask about financing.

Will applying hurt my credit score?

No. The initial application is a soft credit pull, which doesn't affect your score and isn't visible to other lenders. Only if you proceed with one of our partner lenders (UMC) is a hard pull required at the final step — and even then, only after you've seen and accepted the actual terms.

What if I'm denied?

Several options: (1) reapply with a co-signer (often dramatically improves terms), (2) increase your down payment, (3) explore HSA/FSA funds, (4) wait 60–90 days while improving your credit (our coordinators can give specific advice). We're transparent about why a denial happened and what would change the outcome.

Can I add a co-signer?

Yes — and a strong co-signer is the single most powerful way to improve your terms if your credit isn't ideal. A spouse, parent, or close family member with good credit can drop your APR significantly and unlock $0-down terms. The co-signer is jointly responsible for the loan.

When does my first payment hit?

First payment is typically due 30 days after your surgery date — never before. If recovery takes longer than expected and you need an extra week or two, we work with you. We don't kick people while they're recovering.

Can I pay the loan off early?

Yes — no prepayment penalty on any of our financing options. Pay extra any month, pay it off in full whenever — your remaining interest is reduced proportionally. Many patients use tax refunds, year-end bonuses, or HSA/FSA funds to pay down the balance fast.

Do you offer 0% interest?

No. We've seen the "0% interest" gimmicks elsewhere — they almost always come with retroactive interest if you miss the deferred-interest window, or hidden fees that add up to more than a real APR. We'd rather show you a real, honest rate up front. For most patients with good credit, our APR is between 9–14%.

Can I use HSA / FSA funds?

Many of our patients do. Bariatric surgery is generally an HSA/FSA-eligible expense — confirm with your plan administrator. We provide itemized receipts that meet most plan documentation requirements. Many patients use HSA funds for the down payment + financing for the rest.
