Most bariatric procedures include two nights of inpatient clinical care before you're cleared for discharge.

Surgery day

Admission & surgical prep

Pre-op vitals, IV line placed, anesthesia consult, and surgical team walkthrough before you go to the OR.

Surgery done

Post-anesthesia & transfer

Monitored in the recovery area until vitals are stable, then transferred to your private room. Your companion joins you.

Night 1–2

Clinical monitoring & recovery

Nursing rounds every few hours. IV fluids, pain management, oxygen monitoring. Clear liquids begin and early ambulation starts.

Day 2–3

Physician clearance & discharge

Surgeon and care team evaluate your vitals, mobility, and oral intake before clearance. Discharge instructions and follow-up plan given.
