Dr. Enrique Saucedo — listed on the old Pompeii site simply as Doctor Saucedo, and known to his patients as Doctor S — is a board certified general surgeon and bariatric surgeon based in Tijuana, Baja California, certified through the School of Medicine at the Autonomous University of Baja California. He brought more than a decade of weight-loss surgery experience to Pompeii Surgical.

As a bariatric surgeon, Dr. Saucedo operated side by side with Dr. Sergio Quinones, and joined Pompeii after meeting what the group described at the time as its strict requirements for surgical staff. He was brought on in part to open up Saturday surgery dates — a practical answer to the many patients who couldn’t travel midweek.
